When visiting Gladstone Pottery Museum you will see a clocking on machine, steam engine and a range of machines. But have you ever wondered when was the first clock invented? Who created the first steam engine?

Come along and discover the answers, help build the earliest mechanical clock  which was invented over 700 years ago or a water clock which is even older.  Find out whether the first steam engine could be 2,000 years old?

All this and more as Gladstone holds a science day looking at forces, levers and pulleys and optics. This will be a fascinating day looking at inventions through the ages including, What did dads make for their children to play with?
