Contemporary Glass
19 Aug 10 - 10 Jan 11
The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery is holding a display of contemporary glass by artists who have been selected to exhibit in the 2010 British Glass Biennale in Stourbridge. It will showcase the work of five artists from the West Midlands and runs from 19 August until mid January 2011
The display includes recent glass pieces by Keith Brocklehurst (Co-Director of this year’s Festival) Keith Cummings, Lisa Sheppy, Jaqueline Cooley and Xin Li.
The British Glass Biennale is part of the International Festival of Glass, which is held in Stourbridge every two years. This year’s Biennale will be held at the Ruskin Glass Centre in Stourbridge. It runs from 27 August until 11 September and there will be a special weekend of events over the August bank holiday. Keith Brocklehurst and Keith Cummings are both invited artists and Lisa won the Glass Seller’s Student Award at the Biennale.
