Etruria Industrial Museum is the last steam-powered potters’ mill in Britain. The mill is ‘in steam’ several times a year when the 1903 boiler is fired and historic machinery can be seen working. Situated in a pleasant location at the junction of the Trent & Mersey, and Caldon Canals the museum is also a perfect stop-off for walkers, cyclists and boaters.
Although the museum currently operates as part of Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s Museum Service, a group of enthusiastic supporters and volunteers maintain, develop and operate the Etruria Industrial Museum for the benefit of the public. For more information and to see details of all events, go to www.etruriamuseum.org.uk.
Etruria Industrial Museum is currently in steam five times per year. These are unique opportunities to see Britain’s last steam-powered potter’s mill in operation.
Steaming days run from 11am with last entry at 4pm. Steaming demonstrations begin at 1pm and end at 4:30pm.
