Heritage Open Days 2021 – Self Guided Walk of Longton

Heritage Open Days is a national celebration of our historic buildings and sites. Although we do not have any in-person events this year we are still taking part with an online version of our Longton guided walk.

You can complete the walk at your leisure and we’d like to thank museum volunteer Phil Rowley for turning his popular guided walk in to a self guided walk for everyone to enjoy.

Please take care on narrow footpaths and when crossing roads.

The following pages contain a detailed route and there’s a map on the last page. Please ensure that you are in a safe place when you look at them.

Local Events

There are also plenty of other special events exploring our local heritage planned for the festival, from ‘Biking to Bottle Ovens’ tours around the city to open days at Bethesda Chapel and many other locations.

You can see a round up of local events on the Potteries Heritage Society website by clicking here.
