- Summary: Porcelain water dropper in the form of a moth or butterfly. Hard grey porcelain with cobalt blue glaze. Painted blue over white, moulded body. Two holes on the tip of each wing which allows the hollow body to function as a water dropper.

- Additional Notes: Naturalistic shapes were popular organic themes for water droppers which formed part of scholars' writing implements, alongside brush holders. Water droppers were used to grind the ink stone to make ink.
