- Summary: Porcelain dish with elaborate Imari style decoration depicting men in 17th century European costume. Painted amongst diamond diapers and foliage scrolls. A Dutch sailing ship is depicted in the centre of the dish and two more in reserves. Painted in underglaze blue and overglaze iron-red, green and blue and gilding. Blue floral scroll on reverse and four spur marks on the base. Five Boat Style' (gososen-de), highly valued in Japan.
